Water:

Given the size and number of gardens we have, watering could be a huge effort.  We have our own well, so access to water isn’t an issue, but rather time.  So we’ve employed a couple of things.  First is that the raised beds have a water reservoir underneath them.  For established plants, I can fill the reservoir weekly, or less depending on rain.  For newly started plants I’ve installed a top watering system in each bed.  I can turn the water on and by the time I’m done weeding, it’s also watered.
