March 29th 2015 - Growing a salad indoors?

Can it be done?  We thought we would give it a shot and see if it worked.  We started 3 types of lettuce, spinach, green onions, and radishes on March 8th.  At this point, although the radishes have leafed out nicely, but the roots are not turning into a radish.  The green onions are a bit spindly, but we're giving them more time.  The lettuce and spinach are doing ok.  When grown in the garden the roots are heavy and the leaves are thick.  Inside they aren't quite the same.  Things could still change.  I'll give an update in another week or so.
